      Description

The MultiOutputFormat used in stage consolidation commits tasks and jobs sequentially. For some output formats, commit is a significant portion of the time compared to writing. For example, the GCS sink spends a lot of time in commit. When writing to 6 sinks, committing the job takes around 2 minutes when performed sequentially, which wipes out the benefits of consolidating branches for smaller data partitions.
