Call to `/backendstatus` fails if the url is too big. The url from browser gets added to a property called `referer` in the header while making `/backendstatus` http call, which errors out in nodejs proxy.
This causes the UI to show "CDAP Services are down" because the /backendstatus end point returns a 500. The problem is not with backend but with the /backendstatus end point in the node proxy.
Temporarily we need to strip out the referer which causes the /backendstatus call to fail.
